Incessant exposure to ‘best place to eat at’ TikTok recommendations often leaves us wanting to try everything: pastry shop hunting today, steakhouses, and pasta places tomorrow. And when the choice between coffee or a cocktail after work feels impossible, it gets even trickier. But what if we told you there’s actually a newly opened place in Cebu where you can enjoy both at once?
But what if there was a spot in Cebu where you didn’t have to choose?
Lucky for you, Lynn Café and Mad Grill Steakhouse makes choosing easier by bringing these different dining experiences together. And no, the contrast of these two won’t get in your way; these actually complement each other to give you the best of both worlds.
Nostalgia welcomes you as soon as you enter the restaurant. With the owners and investors sharing a background in architecture, they restored a 1950s bungalow into a warm, inviting space that feels close to home. The antique furniture and well-thought elements bring together the familiar, homey atmosphere of a classic Filipino home.
Warm Cups, Hot Plates
The combination of these distinct dining concepts is rooted in the name itself. According to co-founder Kyoungbin, ‘Lynn’ was inspired by his mother’s name, creating a meaningful space in her honor. Meanwhile, ‘Mad Grill’ represents the fiery passion behind their expertly crafted meat dishes, designed to make customers “go mad” for their bold and irresistible flavors.
With this versatility, diners have the option to choose their dining experience: calm and serene with every sip of coffee or passionate with every bite of mad-grilled steak. Better yet, why not find a way to enjoy both?
Mad Crowd Favorites
The menu offers an impressive selection across different categories warranting an experience that will make you go mad: salads, steaks, pasta, platters, burgers, and even cocktails and wines.
For starters, the Gambas Al Ajillo and Mozzarella Sticks are crowd-pleasers that set the perfect tone for your meal. The Chef Salad is a must-try for those who like a fresh twist, combining dragon fruit, mango, cream cheese, and crisp veggies in one vibrant dish.
Then comes the star of the show: the Mad Signature Steak. Juicy, melt-in-your-mouth, and grilled to perfection, this Php 3,200 dish comes with a sauce of your choice and a selection of sides.
But if you’re looking for something in between, their criminally underrated Mad Signature Burger, made with a house-made patty and special dressing, might leave you wanting more.
To round out the experience, the cocktail lineup offers a mix of classic and creative concoctions, with prices ranging from Php 280 to Php 450. Leading the pack is the Amaretto Sour—a perfectly balanced blend of amaretto liqueur and sour mix—priced at Php 320. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options are available to suit every preference.
Calm in the Wild
To balance out the madness with a touch of calm, they also offer coffee and non-coffee drinks, frappes, smoothies, and ades. Think of it as a garden fairy aesthetic in a world of bulls.
One standout is the Orange Americano. Priced at Php 180 per glass, it’s a tangy twist on the classic iced Americano with citrus pulps adding a fruity, bittersweet kick. Close behind is the creamy Spanish Latte at the same rate.
