“It began as an idea during the pandemic. We were contemplating how to transform the solitude of lockdown into serenity. Observing the growing love for camping, we thought it would be a great adventure to embark on,” says Jel-an Moira Servas-Canda, Chief Finance Officer of Carvel Philippines.
At the heart of Carvel Philippines is the Cruiserene, a Suzuki Carry 2023 model, currently the sole unit available for rent. At the crux of functionality comfort is this versatile campervan featuring a convertible living/dining area, a pop-up shower, a mini kitchen with tap and drinking water, a portable washing machine, a portable toilet, and two bidets outside. Although a few restrictions are in place depending on the route, it doesn’t necessarily dampen the journey. These are in place to keep safety measures for a seamless excursion wherever your travels take you sans the misadventures.

But that may not be the case when you go on the Cruiserene. “We’ve been camping since Day 1 with a child, and it has already been rented out for a 2nd birthday celebration camp,” shares Jel-an. Carvel Philippines has thought through what it takes to adventure with children by providing a curated list of recommended locations and campsites suitable for families traveling with kids.
The journey from idea to reality for Carvel Philippines took a lot of turns and detours. The team, with an architect and engineer on board to their advantage, dedicated themselves to meticulous planning, research, and execution. This dedication is evident from the conception to the creation of a campervan with every side and corner designed and checked for everyone’s safety and comfort on the road.

As for the future, Carvel Philippines clues us in on exciting plans that are currently under wraps. “We have many plans for the future of Carvel. We cannot disclose them just yet, but it is truly something to look forward to.
