Make Your Afternoons More Special With TheBastap

Most who live and visit Carmen are familiar with TheBastap, which started as a stopover for passengers in 2012. Since then, the brand (founded by CGBarro Food Chain) has grown to become a popular spot for people to hang back and buy native delicacies for pasalubong.

As the pandemic hit, traveling seemed to be nothing but a distant memory. Travelers, who are mostly cooped up at home, resort to doing most day-to-day activities online—including food and delicacies.

Making it easier for its loyal patrons, TheBastap launched its website on September 21 to better serve its patrons wherever they may be. Not only that, but it also unveiled its new look and packaging. In addition to that, it also opened a hub in Cebu City to serve as a central pick-up point for online orders.

“People don’t have to go to Carmen to enjoy our products. We’re making our traditionally-made delicacies available online so anyone who’s craving for them can order anytime, anywhere. We don’t want our native delicacy lovers to get stopped by the pandemic; instead, we want them to be #UnBASTAPpable in enjoying our products,” said CGBarro Food Chain CEO Charo Gutierrez Barro.

TheBastap offers a wide range of traditionally-made native delicacies that are hand-cooked to perfection such as Otap, Rosquillos, Huevos, and Galletas, among many others.

TheBastap is available on Lazada and Shopee. For more details, check out its website visit www.thebastap.com.
