1. Letters for Pride

Do you love art, poetry, and LGBTQIA+ advocacy? Letters for Pride is the newest Cebuano grassroots collective in poetry, open mics, creative expression, community fundraising, and advocacy to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices.
Founded in June 2026, the collective grew from Cebu’s queer community and offers volunteers plenty of ways to contribute beyond traditional outreach. If you’re into creative work, media, events, or advocacy, this could be your kind of side quest!

2. Rise Above Foundation Cebu

Since November 2000, Rise Above Foundation Cebu (RAFC) has been a non-profit NGO that has worked to improve the quality of life of underserved communities through education, livelihood training, health and hygiene programs, food-sharing initiatives, and community activities.

Makibaka, huwag matakot! DAKILA Cebu is the regional collective of DAKILA – Philippine Collective for Modern Heroism. It brings together creatives, young people, and advocates interested in human rights, social consciousness, culture, and civic engagement. 5. LoveYourself Cebu

PRC volunteers support humanitarian operations involving disaster response, safety, health, welfare, and social services. Animal lovers, this one’s for you! Island Rescue Organization (IRO) is a Cebu-based nonprofit focused on rescuing and caring for animals while promoting responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, education, and advocacy.

Angat Buhay Cebu BPO (Bayanihan, Pag-asa at Oportunidad) is a volunteer network and advocacy organization in Cebu, founded in 2021 and inspired by the Angat Buhay movement. Angat Buhay Cebu is a volunteer-driven local initiative that mobilizes people for community service, relief operations, and other bayanihan activities. Its Cebu volunteers have participated in activities such as relief-goods repacking and community operations.

9. The Gihay Initiative

This one is a pretty solid combo of health advocacy, environmental sustainability, and youth-powered action!
The Gihay Initiative is a youth-led Cebu nonprofit working to make menstrual care more accessible, sustainable, and stigma-free. Founded in 2022, the group produces and distributes reusable menstrual pads to people with limited access to menstrual products while promoting menstrual health and education. Volunteers can get involved in activities such as making reusable pads, supporting community outreach, helping with educational campaigns, and creating materials for advocacy efforts.

10. Visayas Disaster Resource Center

The Visayas Disaster Resource Center (VDRC) in Mandaue is a practical option for people who want to help with disaster-relief logistics. The facility is operated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and serves as one of its production hubs for family food packs. There’s also a current volunteer opportunity: DSWD announced in August 2026 that volunteers are welcome to help repack family food packs at the VDRC in Mandaue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
