Cebu’s music scene is about to get louder, prouder, and more united than ever. This June, Fête de la Musique returns to the Queen City of the South for its most ambitious run yet—inviting artists, fans, and creative communities to come together for a two-day celebration of local independent music.
Now in its fifth year in Cebu, Fête de la Musique continues to grow in scope and spirit. Anchored by its co-presenters, Alliance Française de Cebu and M. Lhuillier Financial Services Inc., the 2025 edition promises not only grand stages but also grassroots encounters that spotlight the city’s evolving soundscape.
One Big Stage, One Big Start: June 21 at Central Bloc
The festivities begin with the Main Stage at Ayala Malls Central Bloc’s Corte Garden. Curated by Studio Mojo, this high-energy kickoff brings together rising names and beloved veterans of the Cebu music scene, including Coloura, Vincent Eco, Liana San Diego, Felhony, Girl With A Broken String, and the iconic Sheila and the Insects. DJ sets from MISTERMIL and DJ LIT promise to close the night with a pulse.

More than just a show, this central event sets the tone for what Fête is all about: celebrating diversity, talent, and the community spirit that fuels the city’s music movement.
Cebu, Staged: Pocket Stages All Over the Metro – June 28
What makes Fête 2025 special is its new expansion into pocket stages—intimate, independently curated gigs happening simultaneously across the metro. On June 28, seven venues will host themed performances that speak to different corners of Cebu’s eclectic music culture.
Expect DJ-fueled beats at ATÚA Midtown, raw acoustic energy at Casa Gorordo Museum, and indie anthems from underground favorites at Cebu Making Space and Unity Coffee & Vinyl. Each pocket stage is a tribute to Cebu’s diverse communities: from ska and reggae at Handuraw Pizza to techno and tropical house at La Parisienne.
The lineup is as vibrant as the city itself: from IIIICCCYYY and Kate Lucero to Kubra Commander, The Queens, and vinyl DJ sets by Vanity Records Cebu.

A Chorus of Communities
At its core, Fête de la Musique in Cebu isn’t just about putting on a show. It’s about giving independent music a permanent place in the city’s cultural identity. It’s about recognizing that original music, often born in small jam rooms and local cafés, deserves a global stage—and a local crowd that listens.
“Every year, we do this to uplift independent musicians and prove that local music is not just relevant—it’s essential,” says Dexter Sy, festival director and co-founder of Melt Records.
Whether you’re vibing in a crowd at the Corte Garden or discovering a new favorite act on a hidden stage somewhere in the city, one thing is certain: Cebu’s sound is alive, electric, and ready to be heard.
